This pattern is known by many names. The item shown on the left is the Heart shaped "Handled Olive".
Notice the Flower and Bud design are not complete. This shape has been called a Proof. This is the earliest known example of
this pattern. On the right is shown a square shaped Handled Olive. Notice the Flower and Bud are complete with more detail
This means the Proof mold was retooled. Northwood came out with this retooled version in 1906, and called it a Square shaped Handled
Olive. These Handled Olive Nappies can be found both ways, but the Heart shape Proof is much rarer to find. The Nappies are the
only known pieces found in Opalescent colors of Blue, Green, and White. Shown here for the first time, is a rare Blue Opalescent
