Buttons & Braids
The item shown is the "Water Pitcher". It was originally made by Jefferson when
they were located in Steubenville, Ohio. Around 1908 Jefferson moved to Follensbee
West Virginia. Northwood acquired many of Jefferson's moulds and Fenton acquired
some as well. The moulds that Northwood acquired were used in their Carnival Glass
production. In 1910 Fenton began reproducing the "Buttons & Braids" pattern. Even though
Fenton reissued this Water Pitcher, the reissue is still from the Edwardian era.
Note:
Recently a Vase has surfaced in this pattern made by Fenton in 1995. It is not old so beware! See Fakes & Reproductions.
