Mary Ann

This pattern was originally made by Dugan in Blue and White Opalescent colors
and illustrated in a Butler Brothers catelog dated 1914. This seems to be the only year
the Mary Ann vase was made in Opalescent colors which is why it's so scarce to find
In the ad the vase is illustrated with only 8 scallops at the top and around the foot.
In Carnival Glass the vase is known in two shapes. One with 8 scallops and one with
10 scallops. The vase with the 10 scallops is the one that Mosser has acquired and
has reproduced in White Opalescent and Vaseline Opalescent as shown here. Notice
what has been been mentioned before about Mosser reproductions. The outside edge
of the feet are also Opalescent. The originals were not.
