The item shown is the footed handled "Novelty Basket" with amber stain floral decoration.
This is an early piece made by an English company called Sowerby Glass in Gateshead.
The early company catelog shows the illustration of this piece made in 1882. These pieces may
have the English Peacock trademark or a date lozenge pressed in the glass. Because this piece
is not known and not shown in other reference books I'm giving it the name Flint Opal Basket.
