The items shown are the rare footed "Card Tray". In Opalescent glass this has been
the only known item to exist until now. A special thanks to collector
Rick Graham for sharing this photo of an extremely rare "Toothpick Holder"
in Vaseline Opalescent.
Both McCain & Kamm state the original maker made this pattern in crystal and Vaseline in an
extended table service but that all pieces are rare. There are pieces known in Chocolate Glass
by Greentown. So it's clear the early moulds were split up at some point. My guess is that
that Northwood may have acquired a few of the moulds and experimented with them. In any case,
I'm pleased to show the extremely rare "Toothpick Holder" and add it to the only other known item made in Opalescent.
