The item shown is the "Novelty Bowl". You'll notice that
I use this term "Novelty" a lot thoughout the guide.
The reason is because these bowls can be found with many
different style shapes. Since they could be used for whatever, the owner
could create some rather "Novel" uses. Also the Company Advertisements
called them "Novelties" as is shown in the early Jefferson ad below. Notice this
bowl pattern illustrated in the ad. This pattern can be found in many different shapes.
