Floradine
This type of glass was created by "Dalzell, Gilmore and Leighton" (DGL) c. 1889. It is a Ruby
glass with a White Opalescent floral pattern left raised on the surface. Some of the Ruby glass
pieces were given a satin finish by an acid cut back and some pieces were left glossy. Floradine
is very rare to find today and highly desirable. Photos are courtesy of an Oregon collector.
On the left is the "Covered Butter", next the ultra rare "Syrup", next the Creamer, and next the "Mustard Pot".
