The item shown is the very rare Open Sugar Bowl
Blue and Vaseline Opalescent are the only two colors known to be made.
So far the only items to be found are the open Sugar Bowls. Other pieces
may have been made. Time will tell.
This pattern name is not listed in any publications known by this author.
The name was chosen by the two collectors who provided the photos. Tom Foozer
provided the photo for the Blue Open Sugar Bowl, and Gary Field provided
the photo for the Vaseline Open Sugar Bowl. "Rd 19664" may or may not be
pressed in the glass. Made by Greener in England, they date to about 1895.
Thanks to both collectors for providing the photos and unearthing these wonderful
rare items. It's great to be able to show them here.
