The item shown is the authentic handled Vase. It was made by Dugan and most often found in Carnival Glass.
It was made in three different shapes. One shape is a three handled "Loving Cup" with no scallops
at the top or around the foot. It has never been found in Opalescent colors. A second shape has two
handles with 8 scallops at the top and around the foot and is the one shown here. It has never been reproduced.
The vase shown is very rare to find. It is listed in a Butler Brothers catelog dated 1914 and shown below. The ad states
it was made in Blue and White Opalescent colors. Notice the 8 scallops shown in the ad. A third shape has two handles
with 10 scallops at the top and around the foot. It has been reproduced by Mosser. (See Fakes and Repros)
