Slag Glass For Sale Slag Glass began production in the U.S. around the early 1900's The most common type is called Purple Slag. Made both in the U.S. and England, Purple Slag is very popular today. In England Purple Slag glass was called Malachite. Most of the slag glass for sale here was made by Northwood here in the United States and it was called Mosaic.
