Ascot
This pattern is extremely hard to find. The items shown are the open footed Sugar Bowl,
and Covered Butter. Items may have the Rd # 262018 pressed in the glass and they date to 1895.
The 4 piece Table Set has long been speculated to exist. I am very pleased to have located a photograph
as provenance for the existance of this elusive Covered Butter. Cyril Manley showed this piece in his book
Decorative Victorian Glass. He knew the piece was English and who the maker was but did not know what
the pattern name was. He also stated that the best machined Opalescent glass came from this company.
So we now know a Spooner can be found as well though I've have not seen or heard of one.
Since this pattern is known in a Vaseline color, a Table Set in Vaseline would be possible to find.
