The item shown is the rare "Handled Basket" produced in 1907. I first saw this piece
several years ago. Today it's still the only one that has surfaced. This Basket
has been cold painted at the factory with Red and Gold paint. This decoration is known
to collectors as Goofus. Below is shown a Dugan Catalog dated 1907
and it shows the illustrated "Butterfly" pattern.
