The item shown was advertised as either a "Deep Bon Bon", or an "Open Sugar Bowl".
There is speculation that this pattern was made by "Coudersport Glass",
and "Bastow Glass", however it is just speculation. There are no catelog
pages from "Coudersport Glass" and no catelog pages from "Bastow Glass".
"Button Panels" appears several times in Northwood ads, along with other
known Northwood patterns: Intaglio, Klondyke, Leaf Chalice, Palisades, Alaska,
Open O's, Argonaut Shell, and Dolphin Compote. The early ad below shows "Button
Panels" along with three other Northwood items. In this ad there is mention of only
one item with a crimped edge. They called this a "Deep Bon Bon" or an "Open Sugar".
Current provenance clearly shows that Northwood is the maker.
