Curtain Tie-Backs
The items shown are Curtain Ties, also called Curtain Tie-Backs. These were one of first
items produced by the Sandwich Glass Company in 1824. They are Flint Glass and are
some of the earliest known moulded pieces made in this country in Opalescent Glass.
White is the only Opalescent color these Curtain Ties were made in. These are shown as
a pair but the value is for each one. They are getting hard to find now
in good condition without chips.

Note: These have been reproduced in cheap glass during the "Depression" in plain colors only without any Opalescence.
