The item shown on the left is the 8" ball shaped Swirl Opalescent "Water Pitcher".
This piece is documented and known to come from the Stourbridge area of England,
and most likely Stevens & Williams. It can be found in a number of different color combinations.
Notice the beautiful applied Rose colored reeded Handle. Also notice the molded Swirled Rib design.
On the right is the very rare ball shaped "Water Pitcher" in a Blue Spatter and White
Opalescent Flakes marvered in clear crystal. Notice the same molded Swirled Rib design.
Quality pieces were always finished off with Ground & Polished pontils as these both have.
