The Epergne on the left is an old one.
On the right is a new one currently being made in England. See (Fakes and Repros).
They are hard to tell apart, but there are subtle differences. Notice the applied rigaree.
On the old version, it is thinner, and spread further apart. Notice the base. On the old
version, the center portion that connects to the metal fitting, is not pulled up as high.
Also notice on the old version, the bottoms of the baskets do not have a round ball.
They are hard to tell apart so beware when buying.
