Ipswich

This pattern was originally made by Heisey but never in Opalescent colors.
The item shown is the "Covered Candy Jar" in Green Opalescent which is considered to be a reproduction.
This was mady by Mosser in 2011. The pattern has a lengthy history. It was originally owned by Heisey. When Heisey
went out of business in the 1980s, Imperial purchased many of their moulds. The Ipswich Candy Jar was one of them.
When Imperial finally went out of business in the 1990s, the Heisey Collector's of America bought back many
of their old moulds. The Ipswich Candy Jar was one of them. In 2011, the Heisey Collector's of America
commissioned Mosser to produce a limited number of these Candy Jars in Green Opalescent. The Jar measures 8 1/4" tall
by 3 3/4" at its widest point. It is marked with HCA (Heisey Collectors of America), and 11/M/WTC for Mosser, 2011, and
William T Clifford (who commissioned the creation of this piece). The Heisey Museum is currently selling them online.
Already I see other dealers selling them for more money. Beware when buying!
